Checking In!

Hey guys! Just checking in with everyone.

You’ve probably noticed that my last several posts have all been works of poetry instead of my usual ramblings. This is simply because I’m just really tuned into that kind of creative energy right now for some reason and I feel like taking advantage of it.

There’s also the fact that I’ve been feeling very distracted lately so it’s hard to put my focus on any one thing for too long. With poetry, it always comes to me very quickly and requires very little tweaking, so it’s just: Bing! Bang! Boom! Done!

So, my whole point is that you’ll probably be seeing mostly poetry for the next little bit and little else… Well, maybe the odd different thing here and there – who knows? But hey, this blog is titled Random Deviations, so randomness is what you signed up for!

I’ve also got more poetry on my Instagram page that hasn’t been showcased here, if you’re interested!

Hopefully everyone is well and taking good care of themselves amid all the quarantine craziness! Ta ta for now!

Be Brave

Be brave
Sing out loud at the top of your lungs
Dance like your soul is on fire

Be brave
Smile at the stranger that caught your eye
Tell people how you truly feel

Be brave
Follow your passions and do what brings you joy
Chase your dreams and shape your own reality

You only get one life to live
Fill it with memories and experiences
Fill it to bursting
Leave the regrets far behind

And please, always remember:
Be brave

Spring Rain

The spring rain falls like tears from the leaden sky.
Why do the heavens weep?

Why does Mother Nature mourn so?
Perhaps she grieves for the year that has passed us by, for the flowers that have wilted and the leaves that have withered in winter’s cold embrace, lost to time forever more.

Yes, she laments each passing season, each sunset upon the horizon that brings the day to a close.
Yet all endings, however bittersweet, open the way for new beginnings and new life.

She will smile once again and the sun will shine down its light upon the world anew.

Until then, let her share her sorrow. Let the downpour wash away the past to bring forth the future, bright with promise and hope.
